Kellogg's Queen Mary Folding Ship Model

This interesting piece dates from 1972, about the time the Queen Mary opened to the public in Long Beach after ending her oceangoing service and being refitted as a museum and attraction. It was a premium from Kellogg's, the cereal manufacturer, and measures overall 32 inches wide by 8 1/4 inches high. From the pieces printed on this sheet you can cut out and create a model that measures 16 inches long by 2 1/6 inch wide. It is printed on fairly heavy stock, similar to a cover stock, and the text says that the model can float, but that leaving it in the water too long will cause it to become waterlogged.

This is a great item not just for ocean liner and Queen Mary enthusiasts, but also for those interested in advertising premiums and Kellogg-branded items.
