Welcome to The Nautical Shop at the Maritime Research Center. You may find it helpful to read the Information of Interest and Importance below before you begin browsing or shopping on this site. As you read it you'll see that we're different from some dealers who specialize in ocean liner collectibles. We do care that you get the best value for your investment.

Our inventory is listed under various categories that you will find above. Just click on any category of interest and you will see selections from our inventory. Not all of our inventory is listed on this site. We have many more items available and the site is updated with new additions regularly.

Information of Interest and Importance
We want your shopping experience to be a positive one. We use PayPal to manage our shopping cart. But you do not need a PayPal account. You may use Visa or MasterCard, or Discover Card or a PayPal account to pay. You will find Add to Cart buttons next to items in the online Nautical Shop. These will allow you to add items to your shopping cart. When you are finished shopping, just click one of the View Cart buttons on this page or on any of the merchandise pages and follow the automated check out process.

We want your buying experience to be a positive one. Most everyone says that, but we mean it. We provide you with what we believe is the most accurate information about the condition of the items we carry. We have developed a set of standards that help guide us in describing the condition of any artifact we offer. You can see our condition grades for crystal and glass, metal, and china by clicking on the appropriate phrases.

We offer you a money-back guarantee. If you decide for any reason within 30 days of your purchase that you do not want the item, we will refund your purchase price (less shipping and handling) if the item is returned in the same condition it was in when we shipped it to you. It is your responsibility to pay for return freight.

(Please note that we take a very conservative approach to caring for and restoring nautical artifacts. We think it takes hard work to keep them in good condition, that these are old items and it may not always be appropriate for them to be shiny and bright, and that we must use great care to ensure that we do not harm the artifacts we are trying to improve. There are no short cuts.
